Depth where it matters.

You don't need a therapist who treats everything. You need someone who understands how fear, compulsions and avoidance quietly take over, and who knows how to help you get unstuck.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

OCD is the heart of my practice. I work with all kinds of OCD, including contamination, checking, harm and responsibility fears, taboo intrusive thoughts, relationship OCD, scrupulosity, sensorimotor OCD, mental rituals and reassurance seeking.

OCD often convinces people they can't trust their own mind. Treatment is about learning to live well with uncertainty and to trust yourself again.

Phobias

Exposure-based treatment for emetophobia (fear of vomiting), which is one of my main areas of work. I also treat agoraphobia, fears of needles, blood and medical procedures, fear of flying, dental fears, fears of animals or insects, and other specific phobias.

Phobias are among the most treatable anxiety problems. Together, we build a step-by-step plan for facing what you've been avoiding, at a pace that feels challenging but doable. That might mean getting a blood test, boarding a flight or no longer organizing your life around the fear of being sick.

Health Anxiety

Treatment for ongoing worry about illness and body sensations, and the checking, researching, reassurance seeking and avoidance that come with it.

Health anxiety runs on a cycle. Each body check, Google search or reassuring appointment brings a little relief, then makes the next worry stronger. Together, we break that cycle so sensations can come and go without taking over your day. Medical care becomes something you use when you need it, not something you use for reassurance.

Panic Disorder

Treatment for panic attacks and the fear of having another one. That includes the racing heart, the dizziness and the breathlessness, and the places and activities you've started avoiding because of them.

Using CBT and interoceptive exposure, we safely bring on the body sensations that feel dangerous, one step at a time. That's how your body and mind learn they're uncomfortable, but not a threat.

I also treat body-focused repetitive behaviours (BFRBs), like hair pulling and skin picking, and a broader range of anxiety disorders. Not sure if what you're going through fits? I'm happy to talk it through in a free consultation.

Please note: I can treat food avoidance when it's part of emetophobia or contamination OCD and you're medically stable. I don't treat ARFID, eating disorders, BDD or conditions that need medical or nutritional monitoring.

Tailored to you

Never one-size-fits-all.

No two people come to therapy with the same story. OCD, phobias, panic and health anxiety often show up alongside other things too, like depression, other kinds of anxiety or the effects of trauma. Your treatment should fit you, not the other way around.

That's why I'm an integrative therapist. We build your plan together using the approaches that fit you, and we adjust it as we go. You're a partner in your care, not a case to squeeze into a protocol.
